Main responsibilities:
Work with the HR factory teams, advice HR manager on employee disciplinary actions, performance problems, productivity barriers, and other issues to resolve disputes.
Design and implement an effective dispute and grievance procedure on the factory floor so employees understand the avenues they have if they have a concern or problem and process to follow to gain resolution.
Investigate ethics point accounts that are logged through a formal investigation process by interviewing involved individuals, gathering related documents and providing reports back to the HR Manager.
Conduct employee surveys and exit interviews to identify problems and solutions.
Work with HR manager to establish and maintain relationships with line departments to stay abreast of current and future employee relations issues to help prevent potential employee relation problems.
Maintain current knowledge of local Labor Laws and Corporate policy and requirements. This includes regular updates and presentations for general management to ensure that we provide a fair and reasonable work environment that complies with local labor laws.
Interpret policies and recommend procedures for implementing policies to ensure compliance.
Assemble and review records, reports and documentation of employee's grievances, disciplinary and performance actions. Keeps this updated for review with HR factory teams and management.
In conjunction with HR team set up social committee and other welfare programs to ensure employee relations is proactively engaging and driving a positive work environment.
Develop an effective ER Plan for the year for the given facility. This plan should be quarterly driven as to the activities, plans, programs and processes that are due to be rolled out in the factories. It must demonstrate a clear set of deliverables and before implementation is signed off and agreed upon by the Head of HR and the general management of the plant.
Coordinate and follow up all terminations, dismissals and redundancies efficiently and provide advice and recommendations to the HR Manager as to the most cost effective path to pursue. Evaluate and understand the risks involved in the process and be able to explain these in relation to the advice given.
Facilitate and organize the agenda for regular factory communication session with employees.
Requirement:
Have an understanding of the legal system, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
Be able to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
Be able to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
Be able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Have excellent business ethics and integrity and be able to operate with high confidentiality, tact and discretion when dealing with people, demonstrate the flexibility in operational style to meet the requirements of a multicultural position, you will also be bi-lingual, fluent in English and Mandarin and have personal leadership and credibility skills.
Around 5 years experience in HR field and at least two years experience in Employee Relations role and be educated to degree level in Degree in Human Resources Management / Industrial Relations / Law.
Experienced gained from a Multi-national Manufacturing environment would be desirable.
Good communication and presentation skill.
